oh dude, before you start the cr again, make sure and double check that you have the hoses coming from the right spots in your block!!!
it sounds like the pump/block exit is going to the exit of the filter, and then trying to get past the drain back seal on the filter.... pull off both hoses, crank the engine once or twice (leads off?) and see which side oil comes out!!!!
