well, if you want a turbo corolla... there are basically two ways to go about doing it, without building a custom engine.
1. Buy a frontcut complete with a 4A-GZE engine. When you have the 4A-GZE separated, replace the supercahrger with a small turbo. Preferrably run aftermarket ECU. Been done plenty. This is the cheapest, easiest and least labor intensive way to go about it.
2. Buy a 3S-GTE. Squeeze the turd in with a lot of custom work. Go crazy. Expect a $10000+ bill for it to be done though. VERY FAST
I will make a note now though. DO NOT use an auto gearbox on a 4A-GZE. This motor produces enough torque to rip a crappy auto 5A gearbox in twain. To give an idea of relative strengths - a 4A-GZE gearbox weighs around 45kg.. a 4A-FE gearbox weighs around 30kg. BIG DIFFERENCE.
