Is VW beetle piston conversion how common there? Here VW beetle forged pistons cost one fourth of the price of for example wisecos. Every now and then I can read some (finnish) car magazine article about some oldschool Toyota(T/R series engine) with VW forgies. There are some similarities like 22mm pin and suitable sizes in bore size look below...

If I remember right there are two pin to piston deck heights.
I had exact measurements in my computer before it fucked up.
VW pistons are flat headed but I had tech article about this and that dude said with fly-cuts and shaved block he had compression ratio something like 8.0.
