hey thanks so far. i'm well aware that the gearbox and diff wont last. as it is their ratios are suited to the low reving 2S and would be a struggle for the high revving 3SG. my thoughts lean towards a later model celica gearbox with GT4 or MR2 turbo internals.
as the gearbox will bolt up initially, i'm more interested to know about the initial fit of the motor, not the longevity of the gearbox at this point.
TheStitt, if you could contact that bloke from camberra about his car, i'd be interested to talk to him about his conversion.
