My tuner is running a 3T with 24psi boost (max of the turbo) and his engine is COMPLETELY STOCK. But his tuning is very very good.
Better tuning means that if something does go wrong (old engine, not detonation), you just buy another 3T and put it in. Much cheaper than bulletproofing your engine so you can make the tuning dodgy.
