oh i see where you guys are coming from, piping to the airbox, yeah big diameter, but i'm having a pod filter right on the end of the piping, down in the fender, so the size is critical, as its piping between filter and TB. stock size is just over 2", so i might make it 2.5". but as for material, the one i have now is made out of mild steel cause i read it will not asbsorb as much heat as aluminium, but it is heavy. could i use aluminium and coat it with many layers of ceramic paint (more than i did on the steel) so to reflect heat?
