Tue, 06 May 2003 03:13 Something I noticed the other day, is that the earlier GLXs (like mine) came "better specced" than the later (post-90) ones, probably because of where they each "sat" in the respective ranges...For example, ours has (rudimentary) climate-control A/C, whereas I noticed that a later GLX I saw the other day runs standard A/C. The later ones didn't seem to have the sun-roofs as "often" as the older ones...It seems that most of the early GLXs I've seen have a sun-roof, but the later GLXs (and a few Grandes) don't seem to... I'd have bought a Grande if a decent one had been available for a reasonable price, but: A) There were very few around for sale and, B) I noticed a very nice one in a dealer's yard, after we bought ours, for $12,000 (For comparison's sake, we paid $5000 for ours - with a BHG - always with the intention of ditching the 7M in favour of a 1UZ...) One other thing I've noticed with the Grandes is that the laether seats don't sem to hold up so well over time...(Believe me, I've looked!) Has anyone with a Grande re-trimmed the seats? (I'd be interested to know how much that cost). [Report message to a moderator]
