The 1j's, how reliable are they in respect to the turbos and such if the engine has say around 80,000 on it? I'm now seriously concidering one of these. what are they like as a daily driver with a 1j and if I were to the conversion myself from the 7M to a 1j how difficult is this to a non-mechanically minded person I mean is it a weekend job or does it involve...welding ? I'm not a complete idiot when it comes to cars (I've put an 18R-GEU into an RA28...several times) But welding or cutting is a little beyond my expertice. And most of the people I know that would help are useless. So I'd be on my own (except for the little golden book of knowledge that is this website ) I learn from my mistakes (I've learnt alot!)
