Let me state the difference in what you get - $250 vs $70
$70 - secondhand unit, 0 to 3 months warranty, unknown history or age, could last 2 days or 2 years, really just a lucky dip as to how long it will last.
$250 - Completely overhauled unit, 12 months garantee should last aproxx 150000kms or more.
If reliability is a concern your better of getting it done right. The wreckers do test them before they go out(if they don't they should) but that doesn't mean they will stop working next week. on the other hand it could go for 3 years.
