blackRA28 Forums Junkie Location: adelaide Registered: May 2002	Re: whats the better ECU to run an 18RGEU Wed, 07 May 2003 08:58 Just out of interest, what ignitor and coil assembly are u planning to use Blaze? it has come down to the ignitor in my setup is the only thing stopping the engine from running, as it is not sending the spark signal to the ECU!! im using a bosch aftermarket-type ignitor that came with the complete loom, but i dont know what coil was being used with this in the previous car. We've tried a couple different Coils, no success. the ignitor is not working with the factory 18rge coil so gona try a ignitor/coil pack from a cressida. would've gone the 22re pack but a mate has this spare (5Me? maybe). He seems to think they are almost the same on all the early toyo electric ignition systems, i guess it just doesnt work with a bosch ignitor unless u hae a bosch-type elec. coil.. or the ignitors stuffed. Anyone had this problem or experiences with the old electric ignition systems on these motors? is the cressida ignitor going to have any drawbacks if it does run the engine? Cheers!!
