"miss matched gearbox from day one"
you can say that again! this standard box makes it a lot harder to cruise along without going over the speed limit, and with the boost up, it feels a lot worse because the lower boost response means i have to keep it a bit higher in the rev range for me to get any response when i tap the pedal. i've setup an anti-wastegate creep mechanism myself, and although boost comes on a lot harder, and although i have more control over on/off boost, i still have to wait quite a bit for it to kick in.
correct me if i'm wrong about this, not really to familiar about ratios etc., but if i'm looking at a 6 Speed box, i'm looking at faster response and better drivability in higher boost because of the shorter ratio gears, right? And if i'm looking at the GZE 'box, we are getting better driveline/'box longevity, correct? if that's the case, what about drivability and boost response? will they suffer? seems like quite a toss up aye!
anyway, which would be the better buy/option in your honest opinion, 6speed 20v or 5speed GZE box? sorry, one last question... did i read correctly somewhere, can't quite remember where, but i saw that the GZE box comes with a clutch type LSD standard? not sure if this was BS or not.
geez look how much i wrote.
