i have the regulations book for this years targa and in short any car can enter as long as it meets the safety requirements and is road legal and registered,
if you mod the crap out of your car then it just means you will be put in a class where you are up against the same cars with the same level of mods although targa tries its best to bring all cars to the same level so depending on the level of mods you may be required to have a certain size inlet restrictor added to reduce engine power output,
classic cars are limited in the way that they must run using technology that was around in the year that model was last built.
so you can't take an early 70's car and put the brand new and latest EFI system on it, as that technology was not around in that day.
you can't take a 70's model celica and ut a honda vtec engine in it as that technology was not around at that time.
understand what i'm saying?
i may be wrong on a couple o points but if i am then sorry its just the book is big and kinda complicated to read. i need a lawyer to read it for me
