The outcome to the best of my knowledge was that the 2t has dome top pistons hence a larger combustion chamber. The 3t has almost flat tops with only a 4-5mm raise in the crown, hence a smaller combustion chamber. People put 2t heads on stock 3t bottom ends and it gives around 7.8:1. Great for turbos. So you would be raising your compression. I would want to be very careful about the piston to valve clearence. I have a spare 3t head in my shed and it needs a lot of work. If you are going to do this, get the die grinder out and fix up all of the factory casting marks, and raise up the roof of the exaust ports. The valve guides could also do with some machineing around the base. Good luck, but why the drama, just get a twincam. [Report message to a moderator]
