As GT say's, get a shorter belt. I run A/C but no P/S. My alternator sits where my P/s pump was originally and my A/c is rotated downwards and the mounts cut and welded.
Works a treat. You are going to put 5 or 6 kilos over the front wheels for nothing??
If you do make sure you gut the pump, the bearing for the front pulley runs on a machined boss on the front of the pump. Therefore there is no use fo all the rods/pistons and cams in the pump.
If it is not sealed it will seaze up after a while anyway.
