in a nutshell: what mods don't need engineering and which do?
also, what type mods are possible and which are not?

for example thesedays over here it is totally impossible to scoop out 1,3 liter engine from an old corolla and replace it with a 2 liter engine - let alone turboed 2 liter engine.
we can turbocharge the 1,3 unit but power may increase only a pathetic 25%. that _has_ to be dynoproofed, along with emission compliance.
sheesh...
