toycelica77 Regular Location: bris Registered: February 2003	Re: Corona Experts Thu, 15 May 2003 02:07 sure would... i think the entire front end is the same as in the sedan or wagon version... just the back changes have you got the M20 box or the W50 celica box? if you've got the W50 castlemaine rod shop sell a bellhousing and all the other stuff to fit a holden 6 to celica box for around $425 (a mate just got one actually) plus $35 postage to brissie, the M20 box is not a problem as its meant for the holden 6 anyways, but you might want to change to the clica box, 1st gear in an M20 is kinda useless - *2nd isnt that bad tho*... also mounts can be scavenge of any holden six or inline 6, you just need to make an adapter plate if you dont want some nice shiny ones that an engineer would make up for you but yeah, anything with the starfire will accept the holden 6 transplant, they are indeed the same engine i'm kinda kicking myself that i sold it for just $1000 to a guy that was gonna paddock whack with it, it was such a nice car i'll never forget those looks on the skyline drivers faces as i left the line sideways and sprayed rubber all over there car... ahh, the memories BTW - i found that the sloppy progressive rate springs on the corona that came standard were better for traction, they really do squat on hard take offs... stiff prings tend to give a lot of wheelspin [Report message to a moderator]
