$100 for a set probably is resonable, just not to me,or likely anyone with a set spare,as they're hardly a common part.
if they were for an ae82,you'd likely have 20 guys to choose from, but since it's sprinter parts you want, the choice is a LOT slimmer. I may be the only source for you in Sydney...
maybe you don't want me posting what you want to pay,and maybe others don't want you calling them, and offering a lot less than what they're asking, like you did to me tonight.
call me old fashioned, but if I post a price,it's what I want for something, not an opening bid. if you don't want to pay it,for whatever reason, look somewhere else. don't waste my time.
as I said to you on the phone,if you don't want them for what I'm asking, new ones are double the ask. you might want to wait until you've saved up the $300 and then you can hit up whiteline, pedders or kings for some newies.
as for the springs not being legit, for one thing, how the fuck would you know, sitting on the other end of a phone line? have you seen them? and secondly, how do you come to that conclusion at all?
I feel my telling you exactly what they are was about as open as you can get. my springs were bought by pedders from kings, and fitted to the car I currently drive before I bought it. seeing as you are likely not in the trade, let me let you in on something: companies buying from each other, and reusing each other's product when their own isn't available immediately is VERY common. as far as springs go,there are only 4 manufacturers in Australia, and they spread their product out to all the suspension shops.
kings and whiteline springs come from the same manufacturer,as do pedders.
Kmac sell shocks as "their own brand",as do pedders. you know who actully makes them? monroe. but they spray them orange and red respectively... see what I'm getting at?
if I was shifty,I'd be spraying them one colour before you saw them, and would be a bit less open about where they came from, and what they are than I was.
anyway,up to you. good luck with the search for cheap, top quality, certified perfect 2nd hand springs.
Justin...
p.s. my name is JUSTIN. not Jason.
