Well I guess a good start would be to ask how much money you've got to spend on it, and what kind of treatment you give it! For a moderately driven 4AG you can't go too wrong with the standard T50, simply for light weight, size, etc. However, if you like to dish out a bit of a hiding, a W55/57/58 are really needed.

Likewise diffs. With some kind of reasonable treatment, a standard diff with 4.3 gears is a reasonable thing, although is you want one with an LSD they usually go for absurd prices. That aside, then you can adapt a range of Nissan/Borg Warner diffs. Let us know about the $ and treatment and I'll suggest what I can!
