Sure. Just that you don't actually need it to act as a pulley wheel at all, unless of course you one day intend to run A/C.
I am running PS and NO A/C pump on my 2JZGE (I'd imagine the pulley locations are similar on a 1J). I needed to make a spacer that was essentially a 25mm long piece of steel pipe to fit where the A/C pump would have sat. I ended up using a 6PK1860 (original 6PK1940 I think) belt but I'd recommend the 1840.
It's just one less thing to clutter up your engine bay. Up to you, of course.
