if you are have emission problems,in california USA they are using air injection into the exhaust system.not sure how/why/what exactly but they seem to be able to get things passed there that way.some one might have a better insight in to this as i might be full of it also

Toyota did this on the 5M-E ! lol
My stock 81' 5M-E has an air pump for the exhaust gases.
Not exactly what you want on a performance cart tho if you can avoid it.....
