Sat, 17 May 2003 07:51 Gidday Apart from the colour of the injectors, which tell you that the Gen1&2 flow 225 and the Gen3 240 cc there are a couple of other ways to checkeasily. Don't rely on the injector plug as they can be any colour. The Gen 3 has a bigger inlet housing on the compressor side of the turbo. Easiest way to check is that the conneting bolts for the gen 3 are 56mm between centres. Also the big plug on the computer has 26 pins on the gen 3 and only 24 on the gen 2. Don't make the mistake and mix it up with the 7MGTE computer as the plugs for the gen3 are the same. That is a 7mgte computer will plug up - be interesting to see if it works. Also there are 2 plugs coming out of the TPS for the gen 2 and only one plug coming outof the gen3. Also pretty well of the plugs for sensors on the two engines are different. There are other things but that will be sufficient to tell to two engines and the computers apart. Craig [Report message to a moderator]
