Well, i'm after the same answer for my tacho as well. I'm running a microtech computer though. I've put an oscilliscope on another ma61 at the point where the tacho signal goes into the dash. The signal is the typical negative side of the coil pulse with the huge EMF spike. I put the scope onto the tacho output of the microtech and it was the same. So i hooked em together but it still didn't work.
To your other questions, i have a manual, so the speedo is good. It shouldn't change unless you are running the 7mgte auto. Are you? If so you need to give the auto a speed signal,i've heard other people with the same problem.
I also dont have cruise control.
