Not sure how old the ra6X series Celica are, but the 18rg's were made up till around 85. well the efi ones anyway. I would say no to waisting good money on an engine like the 2s-c. But if it was down to $$$$ and you could do it on the cheap the why not. I have never heard of performance parts for that engine though. If it was me I would save my penny's and go the 1G-Geu or the turbo variety.
I would go the latter model 1G-geu with the map sensor. Mainly for insurance reasons, but saying that I have never been in a car that has either. I am sure if I had a ride in both I would say stuff the insurance, go the turbo's. I would love at 1G in my Celica. but I can't justify that amount of money.
