Hey thanks for all the advice and info everyone, i dont think its a fualty resistor bank because we tried the VL injector on all 4 of the loom plugs and it seemed to squirt ok..as far as i can recall.
BansheeBuzz: thanks mate thats not a bad offer and i will seriously consider it seeing older injectors are fairly pricy. Its just i live in Adelaide and i would get them cleaned and tested myself here before they went in, but i wouldnt want to get a set that im not %100 certain of their compatability.

What other toyota engines of the 80's came with low-impedance type injectors that could operate under the same 18RGeu ecu?
Someone from PetroJect told me today they are probably 16ohm injectors(arent these high-impedance?), and having four of them makes 4 ohm? and they all fire at once? i wasnt sure if he knew anything about the 18RGe motors, is this true?
