It is essentially a peice of material with elastic on the sides that is intended for keeping dirt and grime off your nice seats...like for mechanics when they service your car. Snapon is an American company (I think) and they don't generally cater for the low-end of the market.. their tools are regarded as amongst the best quality available, and their price reflects this. The only reason people like me buy them for our cars though is because they look cool!! (sad isn't it) They are available in Red and Black only. If you want a cool red seat cover, and don't want to pay snap-on prices, I have seen a few imitations going around. Oh, and I think I paid about a little over $60/ea and that was 12 months ago.
