Somebody correct me on this, but from memory, TIG welders require 3 phase power, so unless you have the required 3 phase socket, you won't be able to run a TIG unit from home.

There are plenty of welders out there who will do cash in hand jobs in their spare time, it took me the best part of 5 minutes to find a TIG welder, less than 2 minutes walk from where I work, and he charges by the hour not by the job, and his welding is tops Smile
