i'd say get a Gregory's manual or something for your car, and have a good read up on that about replacing CV boots. i've heard for my camry (different car i know, but still FWD) it is not necessarily difficult but time consuming. perhaps try going to a wreckers that you can take the parts off your self (Pick and Payless, they still around?) and try doing it on one of their junked cars?
