sideshow Forums Junkie Location: sydney Registered: March 2003	Re: Major bad news. :(.........Please please advise!! :(( Thu, 29 May 2003 09:21 the reason not many workshops do good jobs is the owner of the vehicle is not prepared to pay for a good job i just got asked questions about a conversion and they said they are goin to get it done at the place with best quote these days unfortunately u get what u pay for workshops will usually loose money on conversions if u take all the time spent times by the hourly rate then u get a quote and take it down the road to another workshop and get a better quote everyone is undercuttin everyone just to get the job and in the end u pay little and get a shit job if u pay little for a conversion then u shouldnt be complaining if u goto some of these workshops that have done the conversion b4 they might be able to give u a print out of a similar job with all parts needed and used so u can get a rough price some workshops change water pump and timing belt on every conversion which is good cause u dont want the owner coming back complaining bout water leak etc so just remember most of the time workshops get the blame just because the customer wants a cheap job and then has problems im lucky i do everything myself so i would hate to see the money i would waste if i paid people to fix my cars [Report message to a moderator]
