This engine was available in the early 80's Celica, Corona and Carina (basically a Celica with a 4-door body).
The 3T-GTEU isn't that great in stock form, but with a few sensible mods it can make serious power, eg intercooler (it doesn't have one from the factory) and a decent turbo. The stock turbo is a CT20 and it's not that flash, but it's good for over 200hp with a cooler. Stock power output is 160hp.
