Ben,
Yes you could use the computer to run the 18rg. The minimum effort to fuel inject an 18rg using ljectronic gear.
EFI fuel pump - use a camira JD - JE(same as VL/VL turbo)
18rg EFI manifold including throttle body, throtle position sensor, injectors - can be difficult to find.
air flow meter computer loom
this will get it running, other things that make it run nicer ( in cold whether include
cold start injector in the EFI manifold most should come with this
thermo time switch water temperature sensor
Not sure with the 18rg where these last two sensors go, you may need a different thermostat housing.
My advice to you is, if your plan in the future is to spend the extra dollars on microtech then hold off for that. You must remeber with injection alone it is unlikely that you will gain more power, more torque perhaps better economy and possible slightly more tuneability are the advanatges you will see from this system on an 18rg. If that is all your after and you want to do it cheap then the 3tgt system above could provide this.
As an end note things missing you would need for this setup include:
EFI fuel pump - use a camira JD - JE(same as VL/VL turbo)
18rg EFI manifold including throttle body, throtle position sensor, injectors
Hope this helps
Roger
