Congratulations!
Transplants generally get done at silly hours due to the logistics of getting the donor organs. Most donor organs are 'acquired' at around 6-8pm at night (issues of certifying brain death, organizing theatre time, logistics of getting recipients into hospital at short notice) and are then transported across the countryside to the respective recipients. Also because of their 'ad hoc' nature, theatre time is difficult to organize, so they are done when theatres are likely to be free.....at night.
