Car Alarm Problem remote battery replaced

Heey, i just replaced the battery on my car alarm remote. I only have one remote. Now, the buttons don't activate anything, i have to manually unlock the doors etc. The light flashes on the remote so i know the new battery is not faulty. I assume the remote has forgotten it's code.
How can i set it back, all i know is the following
Remote: DEI Hornet
Siren: 515R
I have no idea what alarm system it is as i am yet to find the actual alarm.
Any help would be great, thanks.
