Hi Guys,
I'm new to the board. To introduce myself, I own a 1976 RA23 Celica. It's a bit rusty but I'm slowly fixing it all. I've recently just redone the WHOLE interior which looks pretty nuts.
It currently has a 5 speed box and a 16R? 1.6L motor (sposed to have the 2.0L) but I bought it this way. I redline the thing daily for the past year and it still goes, I aint even changed the oil or plugs!
Before the thing goes pop I've decided to drop in a new motor. I've seen a fluro green one with a 3T-GTE, BUT, after discovering this website, have seen that a 1G-GTE will virtually bolt straight in!!!
I was hoping you guys can give me your oppinions and steer me in teh right direction. I am after the simplest option, will spend around $2000 for motor and box, am curious about insurance and RWC, if I go the inline 6, and what happens if I do get pulled over by the coppers? I am also in Victoria. Oh and whats the cost of a suitable radiator, fuel pump, lift pump and surge tank?
Please tell me whatever you can!
Thanks
