hey dude,

umm..this kinda thing happened to a friend's work car (hyundai..don't ask).

Apparently the remote was disturbed, causing it to lose the correct frequency/ies to work with the alarm. An NRMA guy came around and fixed it really quickly. If it's the same problem, this MIGHT help you.

Feel around under the steering wheel area (might be somewhere else, depending on the installation of the alarm) for a little button that you didn't expect to be there. The NRMA guy pressed that button while swiping the remote near it (maybe/probably pressing the remote button too). This reset the frequency that the remote was using - all fixed!
