if youve truly read through the forums, youd soon realise that everyone (including myself) has asked this very question - and has been met with the exact same answer:
rebuilding an older engine with low performance potential will stil cost a decent wad of money (no matter how stingy you think youre going to be) and will leave you utterly disappointed with the performance outcome.
why do you think conversions are so popular? not becasue theyre 'flavour of the month' but because after doing a bit of homework - people soon realise that what everyone was trying to tell them at the beginning is correct: pumping good money into an old motor simply isnt worth it.
we just try and save peopple the learning curve by being honest upfront.
now i predict youll be: "but i really want to do this, itll work out well, no-one has done it before, how do you know a hiper 4ac doesnt rock, it wont cost that much" etc etc - and in 2 months time, youll be like, yeah, 4age isnt a bad idea - then the question will be "does anyone make a RWD inlet manifold?"
seriously - with a 4age/4agze/4agte - so youre insurnce will go up - only your comprehensive. and thats where its time to weigh up whether comprehensivly insuring that vehicle is feasible. but in terms of doing something reaisticlly economical and performance oriented, thats what youre facing.
anyway - arent i going to look stpid if someone comes up with cracker plan to go nuts on your 4ac at minimal cost
cheers
