Yeah we drilled out the pin through the gear, knocked the gear off.
Then was able to drive the whole shaft up out of the dizzy housing.
Hacked/grinded the weights off, welded the bottom and top half of the shaft together so it couldn't move around.
Put back into the housing and made up a new pin to hold the gear on.
Not sure if there is easier ways or not.. But this method did work. Assuming you never want to use the weights again!
