Check for rust under the doors, the front guards behind the wheel and under the front window. Have a look under the car as well for rust. Major design faults with the cars is they rust from the inside out. Mud flicks up into the gaps and sits and the sills drain holes are all plugged so might be a good idea to pull them out and check inside them to see how wet they are.

I bought a RA23 almost a year ago and it was actually in pretty good condition, only major rust was in the sill under the door to the rear guard and in the bottom of the boot on the passenger side.

I own 3 RA23's and over all they are a good car, you just have to know what your buying.
