If the springs were compressed, is there any way to decompress them? not myself, but if i take it somewhere and if so how much will it cost? can some sort of quarter inch spacer be inserted under the spring to raise the car?

In terms of price, what range should i expect to pay for shocks including installation? like from munroe to koni.

If I can a drop similar to yours, without sacrificing too much ride quality, I'll go for that.

BTW, you mention that it's "not practical". Is this because it's bottoming out/too stiff? My intention in doing this is to retain ride quality while enhancing handling characteristics. If it doesn't fit BOTH bills, the idea will be shelved.
