Close enough isn't good enough when it comes to wheel alignment. It might be a good idea to get a beater to check for major accident damage, if he gives it the ok find a suspension specialist (not your local service station)someone who specialises in setting up track cars, tell them about your problem, they might suggest a camber kit to correct the problems. It should cost about $90 - $100 for a 4 wheel align and roughly $500 for a camber kit. In the long run this will save your tyres which can get very expensive when buying 18's.
If the panel beater tells you that it's f#@ked, sell it.
