Can I gain power by changing the throttle body? any suggestions for the replacement?

My Tafe techer put a 4AGE in a Off Road Buggie ages ago and said that they tried changing the T/B setup and said that with one T/B on each end of the Plenium was better then just having one. They also choped the top off the plenium and welded a plate on with 2 T/B on top which was right in the air flow and he said it worked great. I'll try find out more if u want?? Any if his mate still has it i'll see if i can get some pics.
