hey chris
my car weighs 1085kg with full fuel. I was running 14psi boost.
why wasnt the top ring groove cut in your pistons? I'd definately use gapless rings, when you see how much clearance you have to run between the cylinder & piston with forgies you'll see why.
I'm not sure how much merit i would place on using normal rings with offset gaps between the first & second ring, because the rings move around the piston anyway, they'll never stay exactly in the same place.
I dont use the haltech to control boost, but definately will soon when i can buy the solonoid to do it.
Dont worry so much about the restriction from the AFM with the factory computer, worry about the fact that it cannot have the maps altered, and therefore allows you next to no flexibility for decent mods to the motor. the injectors are definately too small, but the malpassi will help with that.
and yeah, i sold my cooler for $500. I would have rather seen it on your toyota than the shitty nissan it ended up on
