TA22-3SGTE Regular Location: MACKAY Registered: May 2002	Re: 3s-gte rwd clutch and flywheel Sat, 14 June 2003 09:44 gabe---------- Yes you could slot the holes a bit to move the starter out a bit , I did this myself when I was first doing the conversion using the 2S flywheel and all I had at the time was a 4age starter so I had to slot the holes in a bit for the starter to contact the flywheel and it worked fine but I later picked up a 2S starter and put that on , With the 3SGTE flywheel I used a different starter that bolted straight on but I don't know what the starter is off as I have a fair few starters laying around and have forgotten what their off , I made a turbo manifold to sit the turbo the right way and left the starter on the turbo side and have been running it like this for about three years an have had no trouble with the heat effecting the starter , If you look at some of the N/A cars with extractors you will find the starters are near touching the pipes and don't have trouble .
