If the belt is tight....dont tighten it
find the longest part of the belt....in the middle of it try and twist it.....u should NOT be able to twist it more than 90 degrees
if its tight and still squeaking
a)who cares....turn up the radio while your car is cold
b)replace it
c)lubricate the belt.....with wd-40...or anytihng like that.....even tyre shine works...but this is only temporary
This is assuming the problem is the belt
