i have also heard of this volvo conversion done on a couple of sprinters. its probably the cheapest upgrade (next to the celica upgrade which isnt near as good IMO) but my main problem with it is making an adapter for the calipers. i realise ALOT of brake upgrades use adapter brackets but i think its a little dodgy and would rather use things that just bolt together.
however it would be interesting to have a weight comparison of the magna/volvo upgrade versus the pug/hilux upgrade.
one thing is, how much does the volvo upgrade change the offset? must you use FWD wheels? the main advantage of the hilux upgrade is you can still use RWD wheels as the offset stays the same and the track only varies slightly, i dont know about the volvo upgrade but you probably could too.
