The Hilux/4Runners that were release here and US (89-96) had a 2 valve twin cam 3VZ-E, Not the quad 4 valved 3VZ-FE's. The Camry came the 3VZ-FE, but the problem with fitting them into RWD applications is the dizzy location. But the newer 5VZ-FE (3.4L Pardo/new V6 Hilux) is far better as they run a multi coil setup, (no dizzy) eat half the fuel and produce a heap more grunt. All you need is the 4Runner/Hilux bellhousing and engine mounts and go form there.
