Depending on what model 18rg you have and what carbies are on it you might have to do a little rewiring.

With our 18rgu conversion we had to rewire the choke heaters (late model carbies) and figure out a way to get the mixture control valve (I think that's what it is, the big ugly emission valve on the top of the cam cover) to work.
The choke heaters were easy, just extend the original wiring.
The emission vlave was a bit more difficult. It required some rerouting of the wires for the valve. The earth wire was extended and run onto a 3Y model Hiace vacuum switch. The positive wire was rewired to run from the choke heater cable.

If you have an early model engine with the early carbies you might not had to worry about this stuff but if not then it might help you get it passed inspection.

I still don't know whether our conversion will pass, we should get it checked in the next two weeks.
