Thanks mate, i think thats what i wanted to hear. I've come across a 2T motor that is in very good condition, and as i've dealt alot with the fellow that owns it, he's willing to part with it for around $250 including gearbox(5 speed).
What actually have in mind(after doing a lot of research today) is putting the 2TG head, onto the 2T block. I don't intend to stop there. I'll be getting the head extensively ported, and polished, and the cams will be set up for a race style application as the car will be being used on the track. Also, i'll be making the swap to the twin solex/weber set up.
What i would now like to know is :
Will the compression be raised to 9.8:1, and if so, do u think this is high enough for what i want?
If its not... where can i find higher compression pistons and/or is it feezable shaving the face of the head down very slightly to get that extra little bit??
