Prud Newcomer Location: Newcastle Registered: June 2003	Re: HELP "G" SERIES DIFF IN TA22 Thu, 26 June 2003 10:04 Hey, I think the B/W in the EDV8 is a little whiney because not only did the EDV8 tow a 3 axle caravan, it had only done 26,000 kays in its first 7 years. Its done 30,000 in it's eighth. Changed all the fluids in the car - and you would not believe how stale they were. Just from sitting around a lot. The tyres were incredibly cracked too. As for the Corty, the plan is to eventually add a 3T Crank and bore out the 2TGEU. The goal is to approach 2Litres, although anything over 1800cc would be fine. Then add a S14-S15 Silvia Turbo. If I can break 200rwhp I'll be more than happy, and the Corty will drift really well. If you've ever driven a decently powered Escort, then you'll know exactly what I'm on about. I'm interested in a Hilux diff, given the punishment the car will end up facing - drift, donut, burnout, drag. It's not a "need it today" item, as the 2TGEU is only just settling on its mounts. I have a mountain of other things to do before upping the power, mainly get it painted, trimmed and registered. So the toothpick, or Cortina diff if you prefer, stays until it breaks. And I promise I'll be nice to it, for at least a coupla weeks L8a, Prud [Report message to a moderator]
