the 18R-C and 18R-G points dizzy's would work pretty much the same.... i have used both with the same result on my 18R-GU.

HOWEVER - the big difference is when you use electronic ignition! High RPM capability is GREATLY improved with better performance ALL ROUND for the motor. You can use the internals of an RT-142 22R-E dizzy in your 18R dizzy and a 21R-C ignitor and coil to get it all to work. Thats what i did.
