just a suggestion, i mate has bored his 3TGTE to around 2L and used hepatite gemini 2L pistons, i would think this would be a cheap mod for extra power, also reduced the compression down to around 7:1, perfect for any high boost application. i don't have many details, just knew he used standard rods, and left the HG the stock bore size otherwise they apparently blew all the time.
